What travellers say:
The big white Bamboo Sapa comes up short of its three-star rating. There are great views both from the rooms and the restaurant balcony, however the food is less than ordinary. We've had complaints of rooms without working air-con, though in this price range, air-con is absolutely to be expected. In winter, some rooms are inadequately heated and it's necessary to petition the staff for an electric heater if your lips are turning blue. We found poor attention to detail in the room design, fireplaces that were ornamental and not functional, and rather spare rooms with seriously scuffed and scratched furniture. The baths look good, with their decorative tiles and deep tubs, but in winter, the water may trickle in so slowly that the hot water will turn cold before the tub is filled. Like many group tour outfits in Sapa, this place has neglected service in favour of luring in the hapless, sight-unseen.
The Bamboo Sapa Hotel sits on the edge of the hills, giving many rooms that give a great view of mountain

Recommendation: Vietemotion Restaurant in Sapa
Vietemotion presents a comfortable and relaxed setting with an air of elegance to complement Chef Nam's presentation mixed of French & Vietnam cuisine. Given the restaurant's history of 4 years and Chef Nam's prestigious culinary background which included working with top chef Mr Sylvain Portay in Sofitel Hotel, Vietemotion definitely has a treat in store for those in appreciation of fine-dining.

We do not recommend this hotel for:
An amazing honeymoon, A romantic getaway, Girlfriend getaway, People with disabilities, Older travelers
We stayed there for one night, having done the overnight train from Hanoi with "Sapa Package" by Vietnam Royal Tourism. Our Travel Agent reccomended us upgrade to Victoria which is better service , but we think stay one night there my without any proplem
Overall, the condition of the room was great; size was good, sheets for the twin beds were clean, as were the floors and toilets.View, as mentioned, was excellent.
Note : May our trip was perfect and most of time we were outside of town for our trip , so we feel hotel is ok here

.....We stayed in a deluxe room for 1 night. It was great to be able to check in when we arrived at 8am. The room was not fancy but at least it was clean and spacious. Outside was a common balcony for all the rooms on the same floor that were facing the mountain. I must say that the view was excellent! Hot water was minimal so if you're visiting during winter, do take note. No heater in sight either but we didn't need it because we were out all day long for our great trip here with Vietnam Royal Tourism.
The buffet breakfast was rather good and we dined at the tables outside while admiring the Fan Xi Pan Mountain. This hotel is located on the quiet end of the town but that was something we had wanted. There were security personnel on duty day and night too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we may upgarde hotel to Victoria the next time round by Vietnam Royal Tourism advice.
